Letter given by BHU Hospital Administration to Nursing Officers.
Nursing officers who have been on a sit-in for 7 days demanding the resignation of the Medical Superintendent (MS) of Sir Sunderlal Hospital, Varanasi-based Banaras Hindu University (BHU), have returned to work. Except for MS’s resignation, the hospital administration has handed over a written copy of the nursing staff to all other demands.
It is worth mentioning that this first MS Prof. In relation to the allegation of slapping on KK Gupta, the committee constituted to investigate had given him a clean chit. The inquiry committee said that the allegations of slapping have not been confirmed. Patients and their relatives as well as hospital administration have breathed a sigh of relief with the nursing officers returning to work.

Nursing staff should get this assurance
In-charge of BHU Trauma Center and Deputy MS Prof. A written consent letter has been given to the nursing officers on behalf of Saurabh Singh. In the consent letter, he has assured that no disciplinary action will be taken against him during his sit-in demonstration. Along with this, along with the formation of a Grievance Committee for their problems in future, it has been assured that they will not face any kind of trouble in future. For this, whatever problems will be there on behalf of the Nursing Superintendent’s Office as per the rules of the University, they will be resolved.
Nursing officer also included in Grievance Committee
The BHU hospital administration has constituted an 11-member Grievance Committee on the demands of the Nursing Officers. The chairman of this committee, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. SK Singh has been created. The Assistant Registrar of Sir Sunderlal Hospital will be in the role of Member Secretary. Three nursing officers have also been included in the committee. The committee will take action in the direction of resolving the problems of the Nursing Officers.
