Prisoner dies in Rae Bareli Jail
A prisoner lodged in the district jail of Rae Bareli has died suddenly due to deteriorating health. It is being told that on May 12, around 9 in the morning, the prisoner started vomiting. After that the employees gave the information to the jailer. The jailer sent the ambulance to the district hospital. During treatment there on Sunday, he died due to deteriorating health. The police reached the information and took the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem.
Was serving sentence in the case of murderous assault
Pankaj Dixit (52) resident of Pahansa village of Bachhrawan police station area of the district was jailed in the 2019 murder case. Pankaj was locked in many other sections along with assault and murder for the last 3 years, he was going to get bail in a few days. There has been an uproar in the relatives of the prisoner Pankaj as soon as he got the information of the death. The family members rushed to the hospital for Pankaj.

Additional Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Srivastava said that the prisoner who has been in jail for the last 3 years has died during treatment.
