Varanasi Uttar Pradesh (UP) Assembly Election 2022 Results Update; Congress Candidates Got The Gritty, Ajay Rai, Dr. Rajesh Mishra, Rajeshwar Patel Including 7 Candidate’s Bail Confiscated
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s choice of candidates, who gave the slogan of Ladki Hoon Ladge Sakti Ho in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, made her fiercely gritty in Varanasi. Out of 8 assembly seats in Varanasi, 7 Congress candidates could not even save their deposits. Along with this, the candidates of Congress remained in third or fourth place in the eight Vidhan Sabhas.
Due to this, the round of allegations and counter-accusations of party officials against each other has intensified. On the other hand, Congress has also learned about complete change in the organization and association with the workers. Apart from this, in this assembly election, there were 15,476 such voters in Varanasi district, who did not like the candidate of any party and during the voting they pressed the button of NOTA.
The security of these 7 candidates was forfeited
The security of 7 Congress candidates in the district has been forfeited. Of these, Hema Devi got 2117 votes from Ajgara (ST) assembly, Mudita Kapoor got 2166 votes from City South, Anju Anand Singh got 2974 votes from Sewapuri, Gulerana Tabassum got 3102 votes from City North, 3417 votes from Shivpur. Names of Girish, Rajeshwar Singh Patel who secured 16,785 votes from Rohaniya and Dr. Rajesh Mishra who secured 23807 votes from Cantt are included. At the same time, if we talk about the eight assembly seats of the district, out of 70 contesting candidates, 46 have forfeited their deposits.
No candidate could even come in second place
In the eight assembly seats of Varanasi, not a single Congress candidate could even come second. Congress leaders and workers expected from Ajay Rai, who was a five-time MLA, that he would definitely register victory in this election from Pindra assembly. But, far from winning the election in Modi Magic, Ajay Rai slipped to third place. In Pindra assembly, Ajay Rai got 48248 votes less than BJP as well as BSP candidate.
Along with this, Ajay Rai, Dr. Rajesh Mishra and Rajeshwar Singh Patel of Congress got more than 10 thousand votes in 8 assembly seats of the district. The remaining 5 candidates could not even get 5-5 thousand votes.
