However, the amount of particulate matter PM 2.5 particles near the Taj Mahal is up to 319 micrograms, which is the highest in Agra.

In the Air Quality Index list released by the Central Pollution Control Board, Shahjahan Park recorded the highest pollution among the five stations in Agra. Even after the ban on vehicles within 500 meters of the Taj Mahal, the worst quality is that of Shahjahan Park, near which the construction of a metro shed is going on.
