The miscreants who robbed the truck driver injured him by hitting him on the head with a handgun.
The miscreants opened fire on the ring road in front of Lohrapur village of Varanasi and looted money and mobile from the truck driver. Along with this, the miscreants hit the truck driver on the head with a handgun and also beat up two Khalasis fiercely. Fearing the miscreants, the driver and both the helpers hid in the truck overnight. On Sunday, when they started seeing villagers on the road, all three went to the Lohta police station and lodged a complaint with the police. Police is probing the incident.
The miscreants had opened fire for not opening the gate of the truck. The bullet fired from the gun crossed the front glass of the truck and sank into the rear seat.
Azamgarh was taking ballast from Mirzapur
Rajesh Yadav drives the truck of Manoj Singh, a resident of Saidwara in Azamgarh. Rajesh along with Khalasi Pankaj and Rustam left for Azamgarh on Saturday after loading ballast in a truck in Mirzapur. When the truck broke down on the ring road in front of Lohradih village, all three stopped there. According to Rajesh, after 2 o’clock in the night, 3 people riding bikes came and started banging the gate of the truck. Fearing an accident, all three did not open the gate, then one opened fire on the front glass of the truck. The bullet fired from the weapon hit his back seat and he narrowly escaped.
Rajesh told that when he opened the gate after firing, a miscreant hit him on the head with the hand of a weapon. After this, the miscreants robbed 4 thousand rupees and smart phone present with him. The miscreants asked to pay more money. Along with this, he also beat up Pankaj and Rustom. After this, the trio escaped on a white colored Apache bike.
Waking up, all three spent the night
Rajesh told that all three were so scared of the miscreants’ actions that they could not sleep again. When morning came, they started waiting for the movement to happen. When a tea shop opened near the spot, he went and narrated the incident and asked the way to Lohta police station. On the other hand, Lohta police station in-charge Vishwanath Pratap Singh said that there seems to be a case of assault. There doesn’t seem to be a case of firing. Investigation is being done, whatever facts come to light, further action will be taken on the basis of them.
