A big accident happened in a village of Lucknow late on Thursday night. Purohit and a 6-year-old girl died when the roof visor collapsed during the wedding ceremony. More than 30 people were injured in the accident. Most of the injured are women and children. All the injured have been admitted to Lokbandhu Hospital, where some are in critical condition.
According to Bijnor police station Inspector Rajkumar of Lucknow Rural, it was the marriage of Manisha Yadav, niece of Jagdish Yadav of Nordikheda. The procession reached around ten o’clock in the night. According to Jagdish, preparations for Dwarachar were going on. A crowd of women gathered on the terrace to see the procession and the groom. As soon as the procession reached the door, the women came to the balcony. In the meantime, the visor collapsed.

As soon as the balcony collapsed, more than two dozen women standing on it fell down. Along with this, all the people standing under the balcony and all the people of the girl’s side were buried in its rubble. The visor fell on Ram Kishore Tiwari, a resident of Kalli West, who came to get married. After the accident, people standing in the doorway started trying to rescue the injured. Instead of the wedding song, screams were heard everywhere. The police reached as soon as the information was received. The injured were rushed to the hospital.

According to Inspector Rajkumar, the police had successfully rescued many women with the help of the villagers. About 33 people were buried. Those who have been sent to the hospital for treatment. According to the inspector, Shraddha (6) resident of Thakurganj and Ram Kishore Tiwari, resident of Kalli West, have died. Both the bodies are being sent for post-mortem. At the same time, the treatment of other injured is still going on in the hospital.

According to Jagdish, his granddaughter Shraddha had come to attend the wedding with the family. She was also standing on the balcony at the time of the accident. He died after being buried under the rubble. At the same time, preparations for door worship were going on under the balcony. Pandit Ram Kishore Tiwari, resident of Kalli West, was preparing for the worship on behalf of the groom. He was sitting under the balcony at the time of the accident. Due to which he was badly injured. The whole village is mourning due to the tragic accident.
