In Deoband, Saharanpur, a health worker has cheated a person of Rs 5 lakh in the name of getting a job in his department. The victim alleges that even after repeatedly asking for money, the accused did not return the money. The victim filed suit against the accused in the court. The police have registered a case against the accused on the orders of the court.
Money was given in front of two witnesses
In the report filed on the order of the court, Amjad of Mohalla Lahaswada of the city told that Akur Sharma of village Chandena Koli is working in the CMO office. Amjad alleges that Ankur told him that some appointments were to be made in his department, if he would get him a job after paying five lakh rupees. Amjad told that on July 15, 2019, he had given Rs 3.50 lakh to Akur in front of two witnesses and it was decided to give one and a half lakh appointment letters. Amjad told that when he did not get the appointment letter for a long time, he talked to Akur about this, then Akur said that give the remaining one and a half lakh rupees and you will get the appointment letter.

Amjad says that on September 27, 2019, he deposited the remaining 1.5 lakh in Akur’s account, but even after that he did not get the appointment letter. On request, Akur gave him a check from Oriental Bank, but the check bounced as there was no money in the account. Amjad alleges that Akur is now threatening to kill him if he asks for money.
Kotwali in-charge Yogesh Sharma said that on the orders of the court, the case of the victim has been registered. On the basis of the registered case, investigation has been started.
