All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi held 5 meetings in Moradabad. After camping in Moradabad for three days, they also searched the surrounding districts. But all his candidates forfeited their deposits. Talking about the results of Owaisi’s activism in Moradabad division, he has definitely been successful in hurting the SP. In Moradabad district, SP managed to win 5 out of 6 seats by a strong margin. But in the city seat, the SP had to face defeat by a very small margin. Let us tell you that this is the seat on which Owaisi was most active. His candidate Waki Rashid got 2661 votes in this seat. While SP candidate Yusuf Ansari lost to BJP candidate Ritesh Gupta by a margin of just 782 votes. In 2017 also the margin of victory in this seat was around 2000 votes. Owaisi’s extreme activism on the tight-fight seat has been successful in stopping the SP’s Vijayarath in the district. In Shahar seat, BJP candidate Ritesh Gupta got 148384 votes while Samajwadi Party’s former MLA Haji Yusuf Ansari got 147602 votes. In this way, the gap between victory and defeat in this seat was only 782 votes.
1400 people pressed NOTA button
In the city seat, 1400 people have pressed the NOTA button. Whereas defeat and victory have come with only half of its votes. In such a situation, the votes of NOTA are also being considered an important role in this. Many candidates have not got as many votes as have gone into the account of NOTA. Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate Dr. AP Singh got only 798 votes from Shahar seat, which is almost half of NOTA. In Shahar seat, BSP candidate Irshad Saifi got 14013 votes and Congress candidate Rizwan Qureshi got only 5351 votes.
