Referring to the revolution of 1857, a monk was also remembered in the State Museum of Meerut. It has been written in the museum with the photo that a monk had come in April 1857. The name of this coming of mystic was given. It has been written that the arrival of the monk and then the rebellion on 10 May is not just a coincidence. Rather, there is an efficient strategy behind it. It is said that these sadhus were also present with the revolutionaries on 10 May 1857. However, the name of the monk has not been mentioned. Museum President P Maurya said that in history it was named Coming of the Fakir.

On May 7 from Meerut, the birthplace of revolution, a team of 165 people will leave for a foot march to Delhi. Professor Vignesh Tyagi of the Department of History of Chaudhary Charan Singh University of Meerut told that the place where the revolutionaries raised the flag of rebellion against the British along with the origin of the revolution. In all those places, the team will march on foot. This journey will start from Aughadnath temple in Meerut. Where is considered the cradle of revolution. At the same time, the team of historians will reach Mohiuddinpur Ghaziabad and Delhi’s Red Fort including Victoria Park in Meerut. This journey will end at the Red Fort in Delhi. This time Revolution Day will be celebrated in a grand manner under the Amrit Mahotsav program of independence.
