Bareilly. The problems of Samajwadi Party MLA Shajeel Islam Ansari, who made objectionable remarks on CM Yogi Adityanath, have increased further. Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) has sent a notice for illegal construction and encroachment of his house, marriage hall and farmhouse. With this, investigation has been started by identifying their properties.
The controversial statement given by the SP MLA regarding CM Yogi is believed to be behind this action of Bareilly Development Authority. At present, the officials of the authority are talking about illegal construction in this regard. An official alleged that the MLA’s farmhouse was built on waqf land, while the marriage hall was built on the land allotted for the graveyard.
It has been told that the BDA has written a letter to the District Magistrate requesting to get these properties investigated. Even before this, the SP MLA’s petrol pump was demolished, which was built on the land falling under the Ceiling Act. The DM later asked the sub-divisional magistrate of Sadar to investigate the matter and file a report on the same. According to the BDA vice-president, the petrol pump was constructed without the approved map and for this a preliminary no-objection certificate (NOC) was issued with the condition of approval of the map within 30 days, which was not completed. That’s why action was taken on it.
