Supply of dirty water from dilapidated pipelines: People complained to the municipality president in Mirzapur, said- supply pure drinking water

Pipelines are being laid in Mirzapur under the Amrit Drinking Water Scheme, while the supply of foul-smelling, contaminated drinking water is being done in Ganeshganj, the locality of the Municipal Council President, who is handling the city facilities. The troubled people have met the Municipality President and demanded to get rid of the problem. Therefore, water supply through tanker has been assured in the locality. People are facing a lot of difficulties for pure drinking water.

Problem One, Complaint Many
Despite being in the city, the supply of contaminated drinking water continues uninterrupted for almost two months in Ganeshganj locality. The connection of the mini tube well installed in the locality has also been eclipsed due to the addition of it in the main pipeline. People say that the old pipeline has got connection at different places and the dilapidated pipeline has got connected with the drain water. So as soon as the supply is cut off, the dirty water gets filled in the pipe. As soon as water is supplied, he is fearlessly reaching people’s homes and kitchens.

It is not possible to take a bath and even wash clothes with the smelly water. Water is life, but when water becomes poison, a person must wander to quench his thirst. More or less the same is the condition of the citizens of Ganeshganj locality. For pure water, wandering in the surrounding neighborhoods, they are compelled to carry water on handcarts.

Rakesh Gupta and Bunty Modanwal of the locality say that even after giving equal complaints to the Municipality President and Water Works Engineer, the problem is not being resolved. Everyone is sitting with oil in the ear. Due to the scorching heat, people are being forced to live among the dirty water. Due to which children and family members are getting sick. Due to which a lot of resentment is being created among the people.

In view of this dire situation, the citizens have demanded supply of pure drinking water along with getting the pipeline supply checked to the Municipality President. Despite the assurance of Municipality President Manoj Jaiswal, the situation remains the same. Citizens have demanded to lay a separate pipeline for mini tube wells.
