The dead body of the soldier reached Azamgarh’s Saraimer on the day of Deepawali, army personnel and a large number of people performed the last rites.
The dead body of the soldier reached Nandav village of Saraimer police station area of Azamgarh district today. Kripa Shankar Yadav, a resident of Nandav, had joined the army. After getting promoted, Kripa Shankar Yadav had reached the rank of Subedar. Kripashankar, posted on India’s Leh China border, faced difficulties during the activities on the border, after which he was admitted to the army hospital. When the condition became critical, he was referred to the Command Hospital in Lucknow 4 days ago, where the jawan died during treatment. After the death of the jawan, the body of the jawan along with the army personnel reached the native village today where the last rites were performed. After reaching the dead body of the martyr jawan on the day of Deepawali, everyone looked inconsolable. A large number of people attended the funeral of the martyr.
Army soldiers salute
The last rites were performed at Durbasa Dham in Phulpur after a team of 15 jawans led by Subedar Shahnawaz gave the traditional salute to salute their fellow soldier. Shaheed Subedar has 3 sons. As soon as the body reached the house, there was chaos among the family members. However, the soldiers who came to the army attended the last rites of their companions along with consoling the relatives.
