A widow was murdered by slitting her throat in Bharethi village of Sarai Khwaja police station area of Jaunpur. The woman’s body was found lying near a tubewell outside the village. The killer had beheaded the woman from the torso. Both were lying near the farm. The villagers going towards the farm in the morning were stunned when they saw the beheaded dead body. The villagers informed the police about this. Police reached the information and took the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem.

On the way, the eyes of the villagers fell on the body of the beheaded woman near the tubewell. When the villagers went near and saw, their head was also lying at some distance. On information, Sarai Khwaja station in-charge Devanand reached the spot along with the police force on the spot. Police identified the woman. The woman was identified as Sheela Rajbhar’s wife Lalta Prasad. The woman’s husband has already died. According to the police, the body has been sent for post-mortem after taking possession. The reason behind the murder is being investigated.
