Accused accountant in police custody
The robbery of 22 lakhs which happened in front of Gandhi Park police station under Mahuakheda police station area of Aligarh turned out to be fake. The merchant’s bookkeeper had called his son and handed him a bag full of money and then called the owner and fabricated a fake story of the robbery. After the incident, teams including the SSP had formed teams for the disclosure of the case, after which the police arrested the accused accountant and his son late in the night. In which the accountant has confessed his crime in front of the police. After which the police recovered the looted money.
The story of the robbery was created by the bookkeeper
Saurabh Kumar, a resident of Vishnupuri in Aligarh, has the job of an agent in Galla Mandi. He had informed the police on Thursday that Rs 22 lakh had been robbed from his accountant Ajay Kumar in front of Gandhi Park police station. The merchant had sent his bookkeeper to withdraw Rs 22 lakh by giving two checks of 9-9 lakhs and two checks of 2-2 lakhs. After withdrawing money from the bank, the bookkeeper called his son and gave him a bag full of money and created a fake story of robbery. Due to the incident in front of the police station, there was a stir in the police department and the top police officers reached the spot. After which the accountant had told the police that 4 miscreants looted money from him on the strength of a firearm.
Incident revealed by CCTV
The police had been suspicious of the accountant’s story from the beginning and when the accountant’s call details were checked, the accountant had called the accountant at home before calling his boss. After which the police saw the surrounding CCTV cameras, in which the accountant was seen giving a bag to a bike rider. At the time of the incident, only one bike rider was seen with the accountant and the accountant himself was giving him the bag. After which the police strictly interrogated, then the accountant told the whole story.
Had an argument with the owner on Diwali
Police said that on questioning the accountant, he told that he has been working in this firm for seven years. But the owner always used to misbehave with him. Even on Diwali, he had an argument with the owner about the gift and the owner had misbehaved with him. After which he along with his son Ankur decided to teach a lesson to the owner. After which, after withdrawing money from the bank, he called his son and gave the bag and told the owner about the robbery.
SSP gave a reward of 25 thousand
After the incident, SSP Kalanidhi Naithani himself reached the spot and started investigation into the matter. He had formed the team under the leadership of SP City Kuldeep Gunawat, CO Second Mohsin Khan, SOG, Surveillance and Control Room in-charge. After which the team disclosed the incident within 12 hours. After which the SSP has announced a cash prize of 25 thousand to the team.
SSP Kalanidhi Naithani said that the accused accountant Ajay and his son Ankur have been arrested. Strict legal action is being taken against them.
