New Delhi. The Greenfield Economy Corridor to be built from Ghaziabad to Kanpur will ease the movement of people from Delhi, NCR cities and many other cities. People will not need to go to Yamuna Expressway to go towards Kanpur or Lucknow. After the construction of this corridor, both time and money of the people will be saved.
The National Highway Authority of India has approved the Greenfield Economic Corridor from Ghaziabad to Kanpur a day earlier. This corridor will be 380 km long, which will be ready by 2025. According to NHAI officials, this corridor will be built connecting the Meerut Expressway from two places. First, the construction will start before Dasna Mussoorie connecting it to NH 9 from the border of Ghaziabad. After this, connecting the bypass will be made in Hapur. Going forward, both the connectors will be found in one place.

People of these cities will benefit
After its construction, people belonging to large parts of western Uttar Pradesh including Ghaziabad, Hapur, Khurja, Bulandshahr, Amroha will benefit. Many kilometers to them. There will be no need to go to Yamuna Expressway by walking. After the construction of Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway, people will get a new way to go from Delhi to Lucknow.
Benefits of joining Meerut Expressway
The advantage of this will be that the traffic coming from Ghaziabad side will not have to come till Hapur to climb the corridor. He will be able to go directly to Kanpur from near Mussoorie. Vehicles coming from the center towards Meerut, Hapur, Amroha will be able to take the corridor directly from Hapur bypass and go to Kanpur and Lucknow.

Land acquisition for eight lanes
NHAI has named this 380 km long project as Ghaziabad-Hapur-Kanpur-Unnao Greenfield Corridor. The land acquisition for this corridor will be done on the lines of an eight-lane expressway. But initially only a four-lane road will be constructed. However, the underpass, flyover and service road will be constructed on the lines of the six-lane greenfield corridor. This corridor will connect the Ton Expressway being built between Lucknow to Kanpur between Unnao and Kanpur. Whereas Ghaziabad and Hapur will connect on the existing Meerut Expressway.
