After the month of July, the health department has become alert after the most active corona infected cases were reported in UP on Wednesday. The positivity rate of the state increased from 0.01 percent to 0.05 percent. Due to the increasing cases of corona, the Epidemic Act in the state has been extended for 3 months to 31 March.
Corona cases across the country have once again become a cause for concern. On Wednesday, the number of active cases in Uttar Pradesh has increased to 473. After the arrival of 118 corona positive cases in the last 24 hours, the concerns of the health department started increasing. This is the biggest single day figure since July 11. After examining the corona infected, only 3 of them have found the Omicron variant.
Epidemic Act extended by 3 months
Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad has extended the Epidemic Act in view of the number of corona infected. He said that due to the increasing cases of corona, the Epidemic Act has been extended in the state for another 3 months. In Uttar Pradesh, the period of Epidemic Act has been extended to 31st March, which was earlier till 31st December.

Most infected in Lucknow and Noida
Among those affected by the corona virus are the state capital Lucknow and Noida adjacent to Delhi. On Wednesday, 25 new cases have been found in Lucknow, 21 in Gautam Buddha Nagar, 13 in Ghaziabad. With this, the number of active cases in Lucknow has increased to 90, in Gautam Buddha Nagar the active cases have reached 99. In UP, the maximum number of corona infected have been found in Gautam Buddha Nagar.
