Sarv Pitru Amavasya 2022 Muhurt aur Yog: According to the Hindu calendar, Sarva Pitru Amavasya is celebrated on the last day of Pitru Paksha, which this time will fall on 25th September, Sunday. This is the last day of Pitru Paksha. Amavasya of Sarva Pitrupaksha which is also known as Visarjani or Mahalaya Amavasya. It is a religious belief that the ancestors who have come to earth since 16 days go back to their Pitruloka on this new moon day. On this day, Brahmins are fed food for the ancestors and they are sent off after satisfying them with donations and dakshina. The person who dies on the date of Shukla Paksha or Krishna Paksha of any month, his Shradh is performed on that date in Pitru Paksha. Many times people do not know the date of death of their fathers and there are many such ancestors, about which their children are not known. Because of this, the Shradh of all these ancestors is done on the day of Sarva Pitru Amavasya. All the ancestors, known and unknown, get satisfied on this day with Shradh, Tarpan, Pind Daan, Brahmin food etc.
Whatever unknown ancestors are, about whom you are not aware, those ancestors also hope to be satisfied from you on the earth planet in Pitru Paksha. When you don’t satisfy them, they leave disappointed. They curse, which causes Pitra Dosh. Many types of problems start arising in the family like illness, unrest, stagnation of progress. For this reason, on the day of Sarva Pitru Amavasya, all known and unknown ancestors should be shraadh and tarpan.
Importance of Til and Kush during Shradh
Til and Kush have been originated from the sweat of the body of Lord Janardan, the lord of all the father worlds and Kush from Rome, hence Til and Kush should be used at the time of Tarpan and Arghya. Kutap, the most virtuous time of Brahmin feast in Shradh, the eighth Muhurta of the day from 11:36 to 12:24 is the best time.

Offer milk, sesame, kusha, flowers, fragrant water to the ancestors to perform the tarpan.
Give food to the hungry by giving Pind Daan with rice or barley.
Give clothes to the poor or needy.
Without giving Dakshina after the meal and without touching the feet, one does not get the fruit. Therefore, give dakshina to the brahmin.
Education donation, blood donation, food donation, tree plantation, medical donation etc. must be done in the name of ancestors.
