Lucknow. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has become strict regarding the people celebrating the victory of Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, those people are being identified who were expressing happiness on firecrackers and social media when Pakistan won. On this, the Uttar Pradesh Police has so far named 7 people. Out of which a case has been registered against a person in 3 Agra, 3 Bareilly and Lucknow. So far 7 people have been nominated. He has been arrested for supporting Pakistan. A case of sedition will be launched against them.
It is worth noting that three days ago on Sunday, Pakistan won the T20 World Cup match between Pakistan and India. After this, there were reports of bursting of firecrackers and celebrating the victory of Pakistan from many places. The attitude of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appeared strict regarding this. Cases have been registered against people who came in support of Pakistan in different districts of UP and they have been arrested. A case will be run against them under sedition. It is being told that the police have named three people in Agra, three in Bareilly and one in Lucknow.
Action on Kashmiri students in Agra
There has been a hunt for action on Kashmiri students celebrating on social media at the RBS campus in Agra’s Bichpuri, regarding Pakistan’s victory over India in the T20 World Cup. Three Kashmiri students have been suspended by the college administration. The students who were acted on include Arshid Yusuf, Inayat Altaf Sheikh, Shaukat Ahmed. This action came after the leaders of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha expressed their anger. The police also reached the campus and the students who are accused of celebrating happiness are being investigated.
Intelligence department also alert
The intelligence department has also become alert regarding this incident in Bichpuri area. India lost to Pakistan in the last day’s T20 World Cup. After this, some Kashmiri students of the campus had put up status in support of Pakistan on WhatsApp. To which all the students objected, yet the Kashmiri students remained on their stand. Now the screenshot of the set done on WhatsApp went viral on social media.
