Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey inspected Cholapur Community Health Center (CHC) in Varanasi.
Health fair was organized in Cholapur and Pindra blocks of Varanasi. Union Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey inaugurated the Cholapur Community Health Center (CHC) and Fish City MP BP Saroj at Pindra. Swasthya Mela organized in both the campuses in association with Center for Advocacy and Research (CIFAR) also organized street plays for public awareness on communicable disease control and family planning. Thousands of people took health benefits here. Children presented cultural dance and folk music programs on behalf of the education department in the fair.

At the same time, the arts of yoga and exercise were demonstrated by the Department of AYUSH. Along with this, Union Minister Dr. Pandey distributed food grains to two children who have completed 6 months and nutrition basket to two pregnant ones. He took detailed information about nutrition, food and health from ASHA-Anganwadi workers and assured them that the government was paying full attention to the ASHA-Anganwadi workers, so that they could get incentives and honorarium on time.

1132 people registered
The Union Minister said that similar health fair should be organized in future also, so that everyone can get benefit together. Along with this, the Union Minister gave his consent to install ultrasound machine at CHC on the demand of the public. CMO Dr. Sandeep Choudhary said that the objective and punch line of the Block Health Mela is ‘Swastha Surekha, Pragati surety’. A total of 1132 people registered in the health fair, in which about 800 people were examined and treated. 64 beneficiaries were made Ayushman cards and 64 people Ayushman Bharat Health ID cards in the fair.
Five pregnant were pregnant
Fish City MP BP Saroj administered food to four children who had completed 6 months in Pindra and distributed nutrition baskets while feeding five pregnant women. BP Saroj said that along with health, it is the goal of the government to reach other schemes to the last person and we will fulfill it at any cost. Ayushman scheme is being run. In this, the Ayushman card holder has the facility of free treatment up to five lakh rupees. Additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. AK Maurya said that besides providing health check-up, treatment and counseling to the villagers, it is also necessary to give information about the beneficial schemes and programs of many departments under one roof. A total of 766 people registered in the health fair here. During this 684 persons were screened and treated. Ayushman cards were issued to 18 people. A total of 10 departments participated in the health fair.
