The Kochi police on Wednesday arrested the owner of a five-star hotel and five employees. Actually one. Three people were killed in a car accident in November. Two models were also among the dead. In this case, all these people have been arrested by the police. Roy J Violat, owner of “No 18 Hotel” located in Fort Kochi and hotel staff have been arrested for allegedly destroying digital evidence, police said. Police is investigating the accident and death. Miss South India Anshi Kabir and Miss Kerala 2019 runner-up Anjana Sahajan also died in this accident.
It is being told that on November 1, all of them took part in a program organized in this hotel. All the accused were interrogated by the police on Tuesday and Wednesday, after which they have been arrested. All of them have been booked under section 201.
Police said that on the instructions of Roy, the hotel staff destroyed the digital evidence. In this, the footage from the CCTV connected and the visuals of these people attending the program were erased. On Tuesday, the hotel owner showed the police footage from CCTV cameras, including those from the party hall and the parking area of the hotel.
Earlier, the Leader of Opposition in the Kerala Legislative Assembly VD Satheshan demanded the government to form a special investigation team and conduct an inquiry into the car accident. He alleged that the police was trying to save someone in this case.
