The footprints of the tiger were being seen since Tuesday evening while wandering from the Sohgibarwa Wildlife Sanctuary Center in Khadda police station area of Kushinagar. In the village Madanpur Sukrauli late on Wednesday night, the dead body of an elderly woman who went out of the village was found in a mutilated condition in a sugarcane field. Seeing the footprints of the tiger around the carcass, it is being said that the woman died in a tiger attack. As soon as the news of the tiger attack came, the people of the village were in panic. On the information, the team of forest department and police is combing. The villagers are standing guard outside the houses by lighting fires and armed with sticks.

According to the information, 62-year-old Koili Devi of Madanpur Sukrauli village, situated on the border of Bihar and Maharajganj, went to Sareh outside the village at around 7.30 in the evening for routine. While returning, the tiger attacked them. Making noise, he tried to run towards the village, but did not succeed. Hearing the noise, the people of the village went in groups armed with sticks and sticks. His body lying in a pool of blood was lying on the spot. The people of the village informed the police and forest department. The people of the village said that in the evening, the forest department was informed when the footprints of the tiger were seen in Sareh adjacent to the village. On Wednesday morning, Khadda Ranger BK Yadav came with the team and combed the paddy fields around the village. SHO Dhanveer Singh said that the body is being sent for post-mortem. The team of police and forest department is patrolling in the village.
