On this occasion, he announced to develop Braj 84 Kos Parikrama in Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, on the lines of Ayodhya.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone and inaugurated schemes worth 14568 crores including the work of Mathura-Bareilly National Highway to be constructed at a cost of 11,453 crores. On this occasion, he announced to develop Braj 84 Kos Parikrama on the lines of Ayodhya in Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Said that five thousand crore rupees would be spent on the development of Braj 84 Kos Parikrama. The work on this will start after the elections.
In a ceremony organized through video conferencing on Friday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone for the work of 335 km long highway connecting Mathura, Agra, Bareilly. He said that in this four lane project of Mathura, Hathras, Badaun Bareilly National Highway 530B would cost 11453 crore. With its construction, the distance between Mathura and Bareilly will be reduced by three hours. The Union Minister appreciated the efforts of Mathura MP Hema Malini for this project.
Five thousand rupees will be spent
The Union Minister also announced the development of Mathura’s Braj Chaurasi Kos Parikrama. He said that five thousand crore rupees would be spent on Braj 84 Kos Parikrama. It will be prepared on the pattern of Ayodhya 84 Kos Parikrama. The 253 km long Braj will be 84 kos parikrama two lane. A raw green walkway will also be built on both sides of it, where plants will be planted according to the mythological importance of Braj. Arrangements for accommodation, public facilities and catering will also be made for the passengers.
