The UP Board has also issued important instructions in this regard and directed the Deputy Principal Examiner and examinees of the state to evaluate the answer sheets of the students with accuracy and confidentiality from Saturday. Along with this, the examiners have been instructed to do step marking along with giving one mark on beautiful handwriting.
If a question is assigned four marks and the candidate answers the question correctly for two steps, then he must be given two marks on the question. At the same time, among other instructions, the board has directed the officials that if any question in the examination is from the syllabus which has not been taught to the students due to COVID-19, the students will be awarded full marks for that particular question. .
Evaluation process being conducted at 271 examination centers
The evaluation process on behalf of UPMSP will be conducted from April 23 at 271 examination centers located across the state. This process will continue till May 05, 2022. This is the first time that the UP Board has decided to give extra marks to students on the basis of Good Handwriting (GHW).
Divyakant Shukla, Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education said that the examiners have been instructed that if they feel that the handwriting of the student is very good, then they can calculate the marks obtained by the concerned student in a subject by marking “GHW +1”. One point can be awarded as a bonus.
