Lucknow. Many important decisions were taken in the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this, the Yogi government has taken a big decision to approve the rehabilitation plan of Hindu Bengali families from East Pakistan in the year 1970. The cabinet approved the proposed rehabilitation plan for 63 Hindu Bengali families displaced from East Pakistan in the year 1970 on 121.41 hectares of land available in the name of Rehabilitation Department in village Bhainsaya, Tehsil Rasulabad, District Kanpur Dehat.
According to the approval given by the Council of Ministers for the resettlement of Hindu families from Pakistan, two acres of land per family will be allotted for agricultural work so that the resettled family can make their family income from agricultural produce here. Along with this, it has been decided to give 200 square meters of land per family to the family for housing. 1.20 lakh per family will be given to these families for the construction of houses which will be under the Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme. Along with this, land improvement and irrigation facility will be implemented as per requirement under MNREGA scheme.
Major decisions taken by the Council of Ministers
The cabinet has approved the proposal related to the implementation of ‘Uttar Pradesh Mathrubhumi Yojana’. Under this, people coming out of the villages of Uttar Pradesh who are outside the city or abroad will be able to contribute in the development of the village. The registration of ‘Uttar Pradesh Mathrubhumi Society’ will be done under the Societies Registration Act 1860.
In the free distribution of iodised salt, pulses, whole gram, edible oil and food grains to the Antyodaya and eligible household card holders of the state, the cabinet has approved the proposal for free distribution of food grains.
Amendment in UP Advocates Welfare Fund Act-1974
In the implementation of the announcement made in the resolution letter 2017, the Advocates Welfare Fund Act- The proposal for amendment in Section-13 of 1974 has been approved.
Construction of 500 bedded super specialty hospital in Etawah
The revised cost of the project for the construction of 500 bedded super specialty hospital at UP University of Medical Sciences, Saifai, Etawah has been approved.

Under the scheme of the Government of India, the proposal regarding the operation of the newly established Sports Medicine Department in King George’s Medical University, Lucknow has been approved. With this decision, after 5 years of assistance given by the Government of India, that is, from October 20, 2022, the newly established Department of Sports Medicine in KGMU, Lucknow will be operated from the budget of the state government. With this, approval has been given for construction of residential buildings for doubling the capacity of Police Training School in Meerut district, construction of residential and non-residential buildings in Police Lines in Amethi district.
