Azamgarh : All the parties are looking for strong candidates to reach the throne of power in the UP Assembly Election 2022. Samajwadi Party has played a big bet in Azamgarh. The party has fielded Ramakant Yadav, a four-time MP and four-time MLA, from Phulpur Powai seat. The special thing is that Arunkant Yadav, son of Ramakant Yadav, is a BJP MLA from here and it is almost certain that he will contest from this seat again. In such a situation, this time the election seems to be interesting here. Because here a direct fight can be seen between father and son.
Actually, Bahubali Ramakant Yadav is counted among the strong leaders of Purvanchal. He has been a four-time MLA from Phulpur assembly constituency and four-time MP from Azamgarh parliamentary seat. In the year 2019, Ramakant Yadav had joined the Congress after not getting a ticket from BJP and contested the Lok Sabha elections from Bhadohi but he got only 26 thousand votes. Since then Ramakant Yadav was seen marginalized in politics. Recently, he had joined SP.
It was believed that SP would field him from Malhni seat of Jaunpur district so that Dhananjay Singh could be given a tough fight, but the party surprised everyone by fielding Ramakant Yadav from Phulpur Powai seat. SP has played a big bet by giving ticket to Ramakant Yadav, but here the discord in the party may increase. The reason is that former MLA Shyam Bahadur Yadav has a figure of 36 from Ramakant Yadav. Shyam Bahadur was also claiming the ticket.
At the same time, the most interesting thing is that MLA Arunkant Yadav, son of Ramakant Yadav, is also preparing to strike from this seat. He has already said that father should fight or someone else but he will definitely contest elections. In such a situation, the fight is likely to be interesting. Because for the first time this will happen in Azamgarh when father and son will be seen thrashing against each other. Although the voting is to be held here in the seventh phase, but the discussion of a tough battle between father and son is vigorous.
