Lucknow, The Bharatiya Janata Party can once again form the government in Uttar Pradesh. These signs have been found in a survey. A Times Now-Polstrat poll has predicted that the BJP will come to power with a comfortable majority in the state assembly elections to be held early next year. The BJP is projected to win 239 to 245 of the 403 seats, with the Samajwadi Party coming second with 119-125 seats, though more than double the 2017 numbers. While the BSP is estimated to be in the third position with 30 seats, the Congress may be confined to five to eight seats.
If the conjecture turns out to be correct, Yogi Adityanath will become the first Chief Minister in Uttar Pradesh to become Chief Minister for two consecutive terms. In the Doab region, BJP is expected to get 37-40 seats out of the total 71 seats. Samajwadi Party can get 26-28 seats, after that BSP can get 4-6 seats. Congress may have to be content with 0-2 seats here. Out of the total 92 seats in Purvanchal, BJP can get 47-50 seats, while SP can get 31-35 seats in Purvanchal. Also, in western Uttar Pradesh, BJP can get 40-42 seats, SP 21-24 seats, BSP can get 2-3 seats.
