Lucknow: The matter of delay in the flight of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s helicopter seems to be reaching the Election Commission. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has demanded the Election Commission to take cognizance alleging that before his press conference in Muzaffarnagar, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government had stopped his helicopter in Delhi. Let us inform that Akhilesh had also surrounded the BJP through tweet yesterday.
Akhilesh Yadav had said on Friday, ‘BJP can do anything before the elections’. In view of this incident, Akhilesh Yadav has demanded the Election Commission to take up the matter. Akhilesh Yadav told news agency ANI, ‘If someone has to go to a press conference and the officials make him wait for about two hours before boarding the helicopter, how will one reach the destination? I hope the Election Commission should take cognizance of this.
According to the schedule of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, his press conference in Muzaffarnagar was scheduled at around 1 pm on Friday, but he was in Delhi till around 2.30 pm. However, after some time he went to Muzaffarnagar by helicopter. Akhilesh Yadav said that people told me at the airport that BJP leaders had taken flight before me. This was told to me by air traffic officials. BJP leaders did not have to wait whereas I had to wait for more than two hours. Whatever BJP is doing, the people of Uttar Pradesh will give a befitting reply and oust them from power.
Let us inform that the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh are being started in seven phases from February 10. In Uttar Pradesh, the second phase of elections will be held on February 14, in the third phase on February 20, in the fourth phase on February 23, in the fifth phase on February 27, in the sixth phase on March 3 and in the last phase on March 7. Counting of votes for 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh will take place on March 10.
