SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya has lost the election from Fazilnagar assembly seat of Kushinagar district of UP. He has been defeated by Surendra Kushwaha, son of Ganga Prasad Kushwaha, who was a two-time MLA from BJP. BJP got votes on this seat 116029. At the same time, Maurya has got 71015 votes.
Let us inform that Swami Prasad Maurya won from Padrauna assembly seat of Kushinagar on BJP ticket last time, but this time just before the election he not only switched sides to Samajwadi Party but also jumped from Fazilnagar instead of Padrauna.
