SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya has lost the election from Fazilnagar assembly seat of Kushinagar district of UP. He has been defeated by Surendra Kushwaha, son of Ganga Prasad Kushwaha, who was a two-time MLA from BJP. BJP got votes on this seat 116029. At the same time, Maurya has got 71015 votes.
