Except for Kheragarh seat in Agra district, the performance of Congress candidates has not been effective in any assembly. Not even half a percent of the vote has been received in four assembly seats.
In Agra district, the Congress once again could not progress beyond zero. Even the party failed to repeat its 2017 performance. Ramnath Singh Sikarwar’s main struggle in the Kheragarh assembly was a matter of relief in the election results of nine assembly seats. Apart from this, his candidates in eight assembly seats could not even save their bail.
The organization also became active after National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi took over the command of elections in the state. Priyanka Gandhi visited Agra several times. He also did a road show in Kheragarh, but the party’s candidates were rejected by the public.
Not even one percent of the votes were received in these seats.
In Fatehpur Sikri, Fatehabad, Etmadpur and Bah assembly seats, Congress candidates could not get one percent of the vote. Hemant Chahar got 0.49 per cent votes in Sikri, 0.32 per cent for Hotam Singh in Fatehabad, 0.45 per cent for Shivani in Etmadpur and Manoj Dixit, former district president in Bah, could also get half a per cent votes.
