New Delhi. All the parties are busy in preparations for the Uttar Pradesh elections (UP Elections 2022). Meanwhile, senior Uttar Pradesh BJP leaders have informed News18 that the party is planning to start 4 ‘yatras’ in the state soon. These yatras will pass through different districts. According to him, these yatras will travel across the state in 3 to 4 weeks. During this, big BJP leaders of the Center and the state will also participate in it.

That year, four ‘yatras’ in specially designed buses began on November 5 and ended in Lucknow on December 24, 2017. A senior UP BJP leader says, “This time the duration of the visits will be shorter – maybe three to four weeks. We are planning to launch them by the end of this month. We can give a new name to these journeys as ‘Parivartan’ has already been given in 2017. All senior party leaders including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, our Deputy CM, state ministers, Union ministers and senior party functionaries will be part of these visits.
These trips of BJP will hit the ‘Vijay Yatra’ being run by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav started the third phase of his In Vijay Yatra on Saturday from Gorakhpur, the stronghold of CM Yogi Adityanath.
Akhilesh Yadav started his ‘Vijay Yatra’ from Kanpur on 12 October and the second phase from Hardoi on 31 October. Akhilesh Yadav will start the fourth phase of his ‘Vijay Yatra’ on 16 November from Ghazipur towards his parliamentary constituency Azamgarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Lucknow-Ghazipur Purvanchal Expressway in Sultanpur on the same day. The SP chief is attacking the BJP strongly through these visits.
“Such yatras also serve as an exercise to rally the party’s cadre and make it a mass movement campaign,” says a senior UP BJP leader. We will try to reach as many beneficiaries of BJP government’s schemes in these yatras to tell them how BJP has benefited them.
The travel buses are fitted with hydraulic devices so that leaders can address people from the roof. In 2017, BJP started Parivartan Yatra from Saharanpur, Lalitpur, Sonbhadra and Ballia and all of them ended in Lucknow. He was flagged off in 2017 by the then BJP President Amit Shah. The Parivartan Yatra then marked the beginning of the BJP’s campaign in Uttar Pradesh, leading to a historic victory for the NDA with 325 seats.
