Kanpur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is going to give a big gift to the people of Kanpur on Wednesday. Today the Chief Minister will flag off the trial run of Kanpur Metro. During this, the Chief Minister will also inspect the train by traveling in Kanpur Metro. In view of the Chief Minister’s visit, the district administration has completed preparations. On Tuesday, the District Magistrate and the Commissioner of Police inspected the Metro depot and tested the preparations. The facilities available in the coaches, arrangements for platforms will also be shown to the Chief Minister. Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) MD Kumar Keshav told that the Chief Minister will enter the depot from the main gate. A meeting place will be built in the depot itself, in which there will be a seating arrangement for 500 people. The Chief Minister will be inspected by sitting in a metro train. Let us tell you that under the first phase, UPMRC has prepared a nine kilometer long elevated track from IIT to Motijheel. Nine metro stations (IIT, Kalyanpur, SPM, Vishwavidyalaya, Gurudev, Geeta Nagar, Rawatpur, Hallet, Motijheel) have been built on this route. The average distance from one station to another is one kilometer. According to the information received, if everything goes well, then from December, the metro will start running in Kanpur. After flagging off the trial run of the Metro, the Chief Minister will also hold a review meeting regarding the rising outbreak of Zika virus. The Chief Minister will also visit Zika affected Shyamnagar to take stock of the situation and preparations on the spot and give necessary instructions to the officials.
