There was a ruckus after the screening of the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ was briefly disrupted at a cinema hall in Noida. Police were called to the spot to pacify the spectators. According to the police, the film had to be stopped midway due to AC failure.
Due to some fault in the Central Air Conditioning System (AC) of the auditorium around 7.30 pm on Tuesday, personnel had to stop the screening of the film, following which the audience created a ruckus, police officials said on Wednesday.
He said that the management of the multiplex located inside a shopping mall in Sector-39 police station area immediately rectified the AC, after which the screening of the film was resumed.
A police spokesman said there was some problem with the AC equipment. The theater was packed and the weather was a bit warm on Tuesday. The audience was also excited about the new film. This resulted in a ruckus when the screening was stopped.
After getting information about the uproar, a team of officials of the local police station also reached the spot. Police denied allegations on social media that a multiplex official belonging to the minority community had deliberately stopped the screening of the film.
The Kashmir Files, written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Zee Studio, depicts the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley in the 1990s.
