Lucknow. Shivpal Singh Yadav is creating new trouble every day for his nephew and Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav. Shivpal Singh Yadav is seen trying to forge a new political equation with Muslim leader Azam Khan while feeding a new gulp in the politics of the state. On Friday, the meeting between Azam Khan and Shivpal Yadav lasted for more than one and a half hours in Sitapur Jail, which has made it clear that these two SP veterans can be seen together on some front. Will the pairing of these two have any effect on the politics of UP?
Political experts believe that Shivpal Yadav could not make any significant impact on the politics of UP by separating from the Samajwadi Party, but if Azam and Shivpal come together, then both of them can be eleven. If these two come together, there can be a breach in the base vote bank of SP. Shivpal Yadav has good penetration in the Yadav vote bank, especially among the old workers of SP. On the other hand, Azam Khan is also known as the biggest leader of Muslims in Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, the Azam-Shivpal pair can cause a lot of damage to the Muslim-Yadav vote bank of the Samajwadi Party.
By coming together of these two, the more damage Akhilesh Yadav will have to bear, the more political gains the BJP will get in the state. For the last one month, there is a discussion in the political corridors that Shivpal is joining the BJP, but it does not seem to be happening. BJP strategists believe that Shivpal can give more benefits to the party by staying out of the party. That is why at present BJP is giving strength to Shivpal from outside so that he can weaken the SP. If Shivpal is successful in getting Azam Khan on his side, then BJP will get its direct benefit in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Although SP supremo Akhilesh has said from the public forum that he who is with BJP cannot stay in SP but he is also unable to muster courage to expel Chacha Shivpal from the party. On the other hand, it is most appropriate for Shivpal Yadav that the SP expels him from the party so that his membership of the assembly remains intact. No SP leader wants to speak on the uncle-nephew dispute, but in a suppressed language, everyone is definitely saying that BJP is using Shivpal uncle as a remote. Azam Khan is also doing politics of pressure so that he can come out. He has got bail in all the cases except one case only after showing closeness to the BJP.
