New Delhi. WhatsApp can also launch peer-to-peer payment system in other countries. If a new report by XDA Developers is to be believed, the latest WhatsApp 220.127.116.11 beta version points to a code Novi integration, which enables global payment transfer.
The Novi service is currently available only in the US and Guatemala, so it is believed that WhatsApp is working on adding a payment option for US users as well. WhatsApp is currently offering its payment service only in India and Brazil. In India, this service is based on Unified Payment Interface (UPI), so that users can transfer money directly to the bank account.
Novi is Meta’s digital wallet
This new finding corroborates the report of WABetaInfo that had told about the integration of the Novi service. For those who do not know about Novi, let them know that it is a digital wallet. This wallet belongs to Meta. Recently Facebook has changed its name to Meta. So you can understand that this is a digital wallet of Facebook itself, which is planned to be integrated into WhatsApp.
Through Novi, users of different countries can send and receive money to each other. There is no extra charge for this. But to send money, they have to use Pax Dollar, which is a digital coin of US Dollar. It is being said that in order to send and receive money from Novi, the user will first have to update his documents and get them verified. It is possible that a video selfie may also be asked for to verify the identity.
