Congress Presidential Election: After senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor indicated that he would contest the election for the party president’s post, party’s Lok Sabha member K. Muraleedharan on Tuesday said the delegates (members of the electoral college) of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee would vote for the person who Recognizes the importance of the Nehru-Gandhi family. He also expressed his desire that Rahul Gandhi should once again take over the reins of the party. At the same time, he said that his (Rahul’s) refusal to become the president is a matter of concern.
Senior Kerala Pradesh Congress leader Muraleedharan said on the sidelines of the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, “There is no dispute that Rahul Gandhi should come and assume the president’s post.
