Shadow fog on Jhansi-Mauranipur highway.
Jhansi witnessed the heaviest fog of the season on Saturday. The fog did not completely remove even till 2 pm. Due to the cold wind blowing from the hilly area, the melting increased and people were seen shivering. People were seen burning bonfires everywhere. The minimum temperature on Saturday was recorded at 6 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature was 18 degree Celsius.
It will be cold for 3 more days
According to the meteorologist, it is snowing in the mountainous area. Cold winds from the hilly area moving towards Jhansi have increased the cold. The weather will remain cold for the next three days. On Sunday also, the minimum temperature is expected to be 6 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature is 19 degree Celsius.
There was heavy fog on Saturday morning, causing inconvenience to the drivers. The driver of the vehicle, Neeraj Kumar Verma, said that it was not visible far away due to fog. So the vehicle had to be driven in slow speed.

Due to the absence of sunlight till 2 o’clock in the afternoon and increasing melting, bonfires were seen burning at various places in Jhansi. Reshma, a wood trader, said that on an average one to two quintals of wood was sold daily. But till 1 pm on Saturday, 3 quintals of wood were sold.
